Farmer Bros. Co.

Dear Mr. Farmer:

I congratulate you on your recently announced new responsibilities as chief executive officer of Farmer Bros. Co., and also welcome your reported intention to provide the information requested by the shareholder Delegate.

Referring to today's news report of your intended response, the article cited a prepared statement issued by the company.  However, the statement had not been received by the shareholder Delegate and could not be found in searches of news and press release databases.  Will you please arrange to have a copy sent to me so that it can be distributed to participants in the Forum for Farmer Bros. shareholders?

I wish you success in your new duties, and hope you will find the Forum helpful in your efforts to understand and respond to the interests of the company's shareholders.

                                                      Sincerely yours,

                                                      Gary Lutin
