Forum Report: Departure of Chief Governance Officer

(March 17, 2005)

Sent: Thursday, March 17, 2005 9:43 AM
Subject: Departure of chief governance officer

I have been informed that Robert B. Lamm is no longer with Computer Associates.  A replacement has not yet been named.

Mr. Lamm had been Senior Vice President - Corporate Governance and Secretary of CA since October 2002, when former CEO Sanjay Kumar stated in a press release that he had been hired "to help achieve CA’s objective of establishing itself as the ‘gold standard’ for corporate governance.”

Mr. Lamm was the executive assigned primary responsibility for responding to the Forum's request for management cooperation, and had offered only "dialogue" about the required shareholder communications.
