For those of you who have not yet offered your views about the information needed to vote on compensation issues, as invited below, the questionnaire will be open until next Wednesday, December 9.
 
Whenever you have two minutes to rank the criteria and the information sources, please
 
 
We will be trying to report the results by Monday, December 14, so that both investor and corporate Forum participants will be able to consider the findings in their communications and planning for next year's shareholder voting issues.  The report will of course be distributed to Forum participants and posted on the "Say on Pay" program web site, as well as on the "Say on Pay 2009" clearinghouse web site.  It will also be made available to the Council of Institutional Investors and the New York Society of Security Analysts, each of which have invited their members' participation in the survey.

Inviting Views of Information Needed to Vote on Pay

Please tell us your views as an investor about what information will be useful in your proxy voting decisions concerning executive compensation.

The Shareholder Forum has just initiated an independent survey of a wide sampling of marketplace investors to help participants in our "Say on Pay" program understand what information corporate managers and research professionals should be providing. It will be very useful to know how those of you who have been actively following "Say on Pay" issues would answer the same questions. Your responses will of course be anonymous, but will be registered through a different web site link so that we can analyze Forum participant responses separately from the broader marketplace responses.

Results of the survey will of course be reported to all Forum participants, and will also be posted on the "Say on Pay 2009" clearinghouse web site.
