Letter to All Directors
(June 21, 2002)
Copied below is the text of a letter
sent to the directors of Farmer Bros. Co. on June 21, 2002, asking each of them
to respond to a June 11, 2002 letter inviting
their participation in the Forum and requesting their answers to four questions.
In the absence of any response, the request was repeated in
letters sent on June 27, 2002 to each
director, individually.

To the members of the board of directors of Farmer Bros. Co.:
No response has been received, from any director or from any
representative of the company, in relation to my June 11, 2002 letter. A
duplicate of that communication accompanies this letter.
Please let me know, individually, whether you have received this
and the June 11th letters.
It is my hope that each of you will also want to reply to the June
11th letter's questions and otherwise participate in the Forum. Most
shareholders consider the views of directors to be an important factor in
their investment decisions, and will appreciate your respect of their
interest.
Very truly yours,
/S
Gary Lutin
